Wow – little 13-day-old Madeline didn’t want to miss a moment of her newborn session. She was wide-eyed and full of wonder most of our session yesterday. Meet Madeline!

Ashley and I have been trying to pin down a date for their family session for awhile now and when we chose a day in February, we could have never guessed it would be as gorgeous a day as it was! It was so great to meet the three of you! Can’t wait until our next session this fall!

This morning, I met little Logan Michael in Fredericksburg, Virginia for his newborn session. For as little as he is, he has a very active spirit and fought sleep for a long time before giving in. It was so much fun!

This afternoon, Megan, Andrew, and I met at my studio then drove out to Myersville for their greatly anticipated engagement session. Megan really wanted a winter look and we found the perfect spots to get just that! What a fun afternoon, full of laughs and excitement about their upcoming October wedding!

This morning, I drove down to Northern Virginia to meet 12-day-old Cogan Joseph. What a beautiful boy! He must have known it was his first photo shoot because he fought sleep for the first two hours of the session.

During our session this morning, Stephanie (Simone’s mom) took pictures of me taking pictures of Simone. Fun! Here are a couple f me at work…..tough work……….

This morning, Simone and I explored Doubs Park in Myersville, Maryland. It was a VERY cold morning and a quick shoot but we had lots of fun. Simone’s color choices were AWESOME and worked perfectly with the sometimes monotone landscape of winter.

This morning, 19-month-old Dash and I explored the hiking trails at Ball’s Bluff Regional Park in Leesburg, Virginia. For a little guy, he did pretty great on the icy terrain but we had the most fun chasing each other around the ice-free pavement afterward.

How adorable are his long eyelashes??

On Mondays and Tuesdays, I teach art classes out of my home to kids ages 4-11. It’s such a wonderful way to explore childrens’ creativity – definitely one of my favorite times every week. Today after class, Sadira and I drove back up to Lucy School and hiked around the property before meeting her mom. Sadira and I are going to be working on a project for The Imagination Project this spring so you will see her face again!

Today, I had 13-day-old June Mary to the studio (along with her proud parents) for her newborn session. What a beautiful and STRONG little girl. She was quite the stretcher, even while asleep! Welcome to this world, little June!
