This morning, I met up with Matt and Nicole Shew of Shewsical (http://shewsical.com/) and their adorable girls for their annual family session. It turned out to be a gorgeous morning and we had a lot of fun walking (and jumping!) around the grounds.
Last weekend, Nancy traveled down to Richmond, Virginia to capture the events at the third annual IRSF Benefit at Planet Zero. What an amazing and heart warming night and Nancy’s images show that emotion. Congratulations on yet another successful year!
This past week, I met Nathaniel for the first time. This five-month-old cutie is the son of Christine and Bobby (one of my all time FAVORITE couples from last year)! We met for an early morning session but no one seemed to tell Nathaniel that we changed the clocks two nights before… he was still AMAZING!
This past weekend was a my solo show opening in downtown Frederick, showcasing 27 installations from my work in Africa earlier this year. It was an amazing night and thanks to the awesome, Nancy Zook, I have pictures to show you!
My brother’s awesome band played which was so fantastic! Totally made the night!

This Saturday, November 6th, is my solo show in downtown Frederick! I’m SO excited to share the images and stories of the children who changed my life in West Africa this past winter. I will have 27 canvas installations being shown, all showcasing the spirit that is so present and strong in Liberia. At the show, I will also be presenting my first published book and postcard collections based on images from the exhibit.
Bring a friend (or a few!) and come enjoy this free experience complete with touching art, live music, and festive food and beverages.

Last night, I went to see Joshua Radin play in DC. He is absolutely my favorite artist of all time – full of energy, peace, and truth. As with any good groupie…, I was CONVINCED he was looking right at me as he started. Amazing experience and it was great getting to meet him afterward – he even put one of my business cards in his pocket. Here’s a crazy picture of me being a groupie (not my best photo moment but a great moment). Check out his music!
Yesterday, I went to Braddock Heights for the McCutcheon’s family session. What an incredible family! I had a great time getting to know each of them and enjoying the brisk fall morning in the woods.
Instead of this past weekend being a wedding weekend, it was a wedding show weekend at Stone Manor Country Club. Cue Sally. Sally is the newest addition to Hough Photography and she did GREAT at the show….. Sally is a french mannequin I designed to display a portfolio of my images in pink skirt form. We spent the weekend at Stone Manor, meeting with some awesome couples for 2011 and 2012.

Yesterday, I met Anne-Marie and Dennis to do their post-wedding session and I was so excited to meet another member of their family, Dixie, their beagle. We had a great time catching up following their gorgeous wedding from this past year. Such a fun couple!
