I’m leaving this morning for a week in Asheville, NC and am so excited! One of my couple’s, Sabrina and Rick, are getting married on Miller’s Mountain next Saturday so we decided to go down this weekend and spend a week hiking, climbing, biking, and running around the area ahead of time. I’m looking forward to breathing the fresh fall air and exploring new areas. I’ll take lots of pictures and share our adventures with you next week!
Last night, I drove out to Black Ankle Vineyard in Mt. Airy to meet Sara and Dave for their engagement session. We began at 6:15 and finished as the sun was disappearing at 7 (I am so not ready for the days to get shorter yet…). We had a lot of fun exploring the grounds of the vineyard. Only a month until the wedding!

I met Megan and Jared at Centennial Park in Ellicott City this past week for their engagement session. We chose to do a shoot first thing in the morning which ended up being absolutely perfect! The sun was warm and the park was filled the peace morning brings. I had so much fun! I can’t wait until your September 2010 wedding, Megan and Jared!

You may remember my friend who is the awesome owner of The Artful Cake (http://www.theartfulcake.com) She is making her television debut this coming Sunday (September 20th) at 10pm on WE tv as part of the show Wedding Cake Wars!

Yesterday, I spent part of the morning with the Shockleys in Middletown. I got to know the Shockleys through Lucy School where Paul was a 2nd grader last year. Here is a mini preview…

Amanda and Keith – Cambridge, Maryland
Date: Monday September 7, 2009Posted in: Photography, Wedding Photography
On Saturday, I drove out to Cambridge to celebrate Amanda and Keith’s wedding. They decided to rent out a huge bayfront house, invite their closest family and friends, and make the entire day about joining two families and celebrating the kids. What a perfect day!

Tyler, Amanda’s son, is an aspiring chef and catered the wedding. Amazing!!

Yesterday afternoon, I was so excited to go back to my old stomping grounds and spend some time with two of my former students in Woodbridge. Both Devin and Odessa were excited about the school year beginning next week. It was so much fun to get in an end-of-summer shoot! We had so many fun pictures so I had to really work to narrow them down for this blog. I have known these kids for six years and it’s been amazing to watch them grow up. I’m excited to see where life takes them as they continue to grow.
