Amber and Michael – Inner Harbor E-pics!

Posted in Photography, Portrait Photography at 11:50 pm by Liz

We had a great evening in Baltimore for Amber and Michael’s engagement session.  They are seriously SO much fun and were game for anything (including a Merry Go Round and hanging upside down off a slanted wall).  I cannot wait for the October wedding!

The niece and nephew

Posted in Life at 4:32 pm by Liz

I spent part of the afternoon with Ciana and Elijah in the park today.  It’s so incredible watching them navigate their way through the park and problem solve their way through climbing.  I love it!  I only had time for a few shots.  Ciana, always the smiler, flashed me some grins while playing.  Elijah has a look of determination when he is playing but I caught a couple looks.

The following show Elijah attempting to smile on command…it’s a work in progress.  I know there is an inner model in there and at the rate we are going, senior pictures are going to be stellar!

Kelli and Rick – Proposal

Posted in Photography, Wedding Photography at 8:28 am by Liz

Kelli and Rick have been married for 25 years.  Yesterday was their anniversary.  For two years, Rick has been planning a surprise ceremony to renew their vows.  At Colonial Jewelers, Rick had the store closed, candles and rose petals everywhere, and surprised Kelli with a ceremony attended by their children and best friends.  Rick even presented a 5-carat diamond ring to Kelli as they renewed their vows.  What an emotional and beautiful evening.  I got a little teary eyed behind the camera.  What can I say?  I love romantic things.

Surprise evening…

Posted in Photography at 10:39 am by Liz

Tonight, I am going to be part of a huge surprise… I can’t say what it is but check back tomorrow for a post about it.  I’ll give you a hint.  It involves a ring.

Shhhh…. :)

Jennifer and Joel – Stone Manor Country Club

Posted in Photography, Wedding Photography at 10:37 am by Liz

This past weekend, Jennifer and Joel’s wedding finally arrived!  I have been looking forward to this wedding ever since I met Jennifer and Joel many months ago.  Throughout the week, I watched the weather forecast and was admittedly worried.  The day began with a lot of heat and sunshine but as the ceremony was about to begin, the sky was grumbling…  Thankfully, we made it through the ceremony before the sky opened up an everyone ran for the tent.  After the brief storm, the sun came out just long enough to take a mini adventure into the vineyard for some shots before the dancing began.

Congratuations Jennifer and Joel!!  I hope you have a wonderful time in Canada!

Instead of place cards, Jennifer and Joel had postcards from places they have visited together – awesome, personal touch!

Molly and Justin – belly pics

Posted in Photography, Portrait Photography at 10:37 pm by Liz

This morning, I met up with Molly and Justin just a couple of weeks before they are due with their first baby.  So exciting!  Molly and I ran track together in high school.  We have spent many hours pumping each other up for races, passing batons to each other during relays, and convincing each other if we actually ate 4-leaf clovers it counted as more luck than just finding one…awesome memories.  It is so exciting to support Molly and Justin as they enter the next phase of their life together.  Yay, Molly and Justin!!  I had so much fun this morning.

Erin and Michael

Posted in Photography, Wedding Photography at 10:29 pm by Liz

This is my story of how small the world actually is…

On Saturday, I photographed Erin and Michael’s wedding at Stone Manor.  Erin and Michael met at college…  Erin and I went to high school together in Maryland and both attended at Mary Washington in Virginia.  Michael and my husband went to high school together and both attended Mary Washington.  Apparently Middletown girls can’t stay away from Brooke Point boys…

Erin and Michael had such a gorgeous day for their wedding.  The entire day was exciting, starting with clipping orchids from a live plant for Erin’s hair and ending with the band pulling out all the stops (if you were there, you know what I mean…).  Congratulations, Erin and Michael!!

Ciana – A morning at the park

Posted in Photography, Portrait Photography at 11:19 am by Liz

I spent some time playing around with my niece, Ciana, this morning at the park.  So much fun!  Now that she is about 20 months old, she is so confident and wants to try everything.  We see-sawed for a long time, counting and laughing, but these are some shots I caught while she was figuring things out on her own.

The concept of a steering wheel was lost on her.  The car moved MUCH better by grabbing ahold of the actual car.

She’s got muscle.  We start them early in this family.

Stacy and Adam

Posted in Photography, Wedding Photography at 7:40 am by Liz

Last Sunday, I photographed Stacy and Adam’s wedding in Rockville, Maryland.  What an event!  We started out with the girls’ hair and makeup.  I could tell right away everyone was pumped.  With music playing and dancing around the room, everyone was excited for what the day held.  My favorite part of the day had to have been when Stacy walked up behind Adam and they saw each other for the first time.  How beautiful!  Alright…it could have ALSO been when Stacy and Adam cut into their first dance and had choregraphed a section, complete with robot moves.

Congratulations Stacy and Adam!!

Last weekend, I spent Saturday with Kara and Dave at their wedding in Woodsboro, Maryland.  We started out at Kara’s house with all the girls, then to the ceremony, and reception.  Everyone was excited and had a wonderful time.  Thanks for having me as part of your special day, Kara and Dave!  I hope you had a blast on your Disney cruise!!
