Catherine and A.P.

Posted in Photography, Wedding Photography at 1:58 pm by Liz

I had the unique opportunity to take part in both a traditional Indian wedding and American wedding day with Catherine and A.P. in Fairfax, Virginia.

I spent the night in Fairfax and Aunt Ruby’s the night before so I could get to the wedding quickly for the 9 am start. What started out as a cloudy morning ended up as a perfect fall morning.

They had a beautiful day for all of the events and the attention to detail was amazing. I can’t imagine having to plan two weddings! It truly was a joining of two families and everyone there looked like they were having the time of their lives. Congratulations Catherine and A.P.!

Beth’s family!

Posted in Photography at 8:36 pm by Liz

This past Sunday, I met up with Beth and her gang  in downtown Fredericksburg to do a family photo shoot.  An hour and a half later, I truly felt like I had known her family for years.  They were the most relaxed, loving, and kind family.  I had such a great time taking pictures and following them around.  Thank you so much for letting me into your family for an afternoon!  It was the best way to spend a beautiful Sunday – but watch out for those park rangers!

Christina and James

Posted in Photography, Wedding Photography at 6:30 am by Liz

Driving to Goochland, Virginia, I was reminded of my hometown in Middletown, Maryland – I loved it. Christina and James got married at Christina’s uncle’s house which was a beautiful location. Despite having extremely hot weather for the end of September, they had a wonderful day! I enjoyed meeting all of their closest friends and sharing in the special day (minus the couple of power outages we had during the reception). Enjoy Cabo you two!!

Landon’s 1st birthday!

Posted in Photography at 5:21 pm by Liz

There was so much going on at Landon’s 1st birthday party!  It was so much fun to watch all of the kids interact (but also made me thankful that elementary school starts at age five – as a teacher, those 4 years are HUGE – as I’m sure they are for parents as well).  I decided after watching Landon eat his cake, that we should all eat cake with our hands on our birthdays – it just looks like too much fun!  And I know when my husband and I got married and threw cake all over each other, it was great to act like kids again.  Happy birthday, Landon!  And thanks for inviting me to participate in the celebration, Dana and Josh!

The Conway Family

Posted in Photography, Portrait Photography at 5:08 pm by Liz

What a fantastic family! I photographed the Conway family at Kenmore Inn in Fredericksburg, Virginia yesterday (on a pretty sticky afternoon). The two kids were definitely active but so much fun to follow and photograph. Thanks Chrissy, for sharing your family with me!
